On YALitMag: The Claws That Scratch

Barring any disaster over the next 12 issues, The Claws That Scratch will be featured on the Young Adult Literary Magazine (YALitMag)!

I’m very excited to share this story with you. It’s something I’ve been working on for many years, refining and redefining.

THE CLAWS THAT SCRATCH is the story of 15-year-old Daphne. Struggling with her darker violent side, Daphne is sent away to live in Massachusetts with relatives she hardly knows. But is she really a shapeshifter? Or is it all in her head, part of a hereditary mental disorder that has already claimed most of her father’s family?

If you have a moment, I would love for the magazine to see that the story can find an audience—so if you do read this first chapter, please leave a short note in the comments section!

I would greatly appreciate your feedback. You can email me to chat!

Thank you all so very much. I look forward to hearing what you think about The Claws That Scratch!

This magazine will include author interviews, book and movie reviews, up-coming book releases, tour dates, and a lot more I’m sure I don’t yet know about! Maybe it’ll be able to announce new book acquisitions? Maybe offer YA writing and publishing advice? Maybe host ARC contests, or fan-cover contests? Insight midnight book release parties? Offer a place for reviews from teen readers? Interview with agents and editors in the field, and get the inside scoop on one of the hottest genres in the industry?

The possibilities are endless, my friends! ENDLESS!

I am really excited about this mag… can you tell? But I would really appreciate if you could fill that out, and pass it along. ^_^

And if you are a teen or otherwise reader of the YA genre: what would YOU want in a magazine aimed at our favorite literary reading? If we let the magazine know now, it could happen. Don’t be shy!
