100 Words: The Genius Wars (Genius, #3)

After loving the previous books, I regret my excitement for this (final?) tale of teenage genius Cadel. With mysterious attacks on his new life, the clever kid seems only interested in whining or ignoring competent allies.

I wondered, at 50 pages left, on this promised Genius War! This was one rushed cameo after another, without development or tension.

The few pages of action at the end are courtesy the villain. (Give us a book of shorts about him!) Things are back to banal once he leaves. This story could serve better summed-up in the prologue of a more exciting tale.
